Nicole brings a deep background in applied policy research, legislative analysis, and program management to her role as Research Coordinator at MHISC. With over eight years of experience, she specializes in tracking South Carolina legislation, analyzing regulatory issues, and translating complex information into clear, actionable updates and educational materials for members and internal leadership. Her work supports informed decision-making for industry stakeholders and strengthens advocacy and strategic planning. 

 A two-time graduate of the University of South Carolina, Nicole holds a B.A. in Political Science with an Economics minor and an M.S.W. specializing in Community, Social, and Economic Development. Her professional experience includes key roles at New Morning, the South Carolina Pharmacy Association, and AARP South Carolina, building a strong record of connecting research to real-world impact for communities and regulated industries. 

 Originally from Pennsylvania, Nicole returned to Columbia, SC in 2012 and has made it her home since. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, going to concerts, reading, and spending time with her significant other, Mark, and their rescue pets, Rabbit the dog and Gritty the cat.
