Hall of Fame Inductees
Two industry standouts were honored Thursday July 18 at MHISC’s Annual Meeting.
Pinka Eppley and Ronnie Cudd were elected to the SC Manufactured Housing Hall of Fame Class of 2019.
A person must get 75% of the vote to be selected to the Hall of Fame. Twenty-nine members have been elected since the Hall was founded in 1997.
Pinka Eppley has a wealth of knowledge about the manufactured home industry, having served as both a retailer and lender. She represented Chase in South Carolina and was regional manager for Greentree. On the retail side she has worked as a general manager, salesperson and office manager. She currently works with Clayton Homes in her native Greenwood.
Eppley has been generous in sharing her time and expertise as an association leader. She’s served three times as a chapter officer including President of the Upstate Chapter. She was an active member of MHISC’s Membership Committee.
She served on the association board twice representing the state’s service / supply companies. A natural leader, she moved up the ladder at MHISC, serving on the Executive Committee as both treasurer and vice chair.
Ronnie Cudd is National Director of Sales for Fleetwood Homes. He became a leading figure in South Carolina when he was sales manager and sales representative to South Carolina during the 1990’s when Fleetwood dominated the market.
Known for conscientious service to retailers as well as his wit, Cudd became a favorite of the state’s independent dealers. Having played golf for the University of Kentucky, he is a coveted addition to golf teams at association tournaments.
Cudd is a 30-year veteran of the industry. He has served two terms as manufacturer representative on the MHISC Board of Directors.
