MHISC enjoyed a big turn-out of Industry leaders from across South Carolina and the region at its 2025 Convention June 23-25 at Myrtle Beach.
Here are some highlights
Rick Sanders gave a gracious and articulate acceptance speech as he was inducted into the SC Manufactured Housing Hall of Fame.
Chairman Ronnie Boyce presided over the meeting, keeping things lively and interesting. He was re-elected Chair of the association. Members joining the Board of Directors for the first time were Jimmy Dyches, Amber Papst, Asa Still, Emily York, and Angela Tibbs.
Members caught up with old friends and made valuable new contacts.
Many members brought their families, a long-standing tradition that gives the MHISC convention a unique fun atmosphere.
Attorney General Alan Wilson and Representative Mike Burns, a key industry supporter. gave members an insider’s look of South Carolina government and politics.
Members got two hours of free CE credits. Frank Hamrick and Chuck Murray presented an excellent continuing education course on developing with manufactured homes.
Will Hill organized a golf tournament to raise money for the Political Action Committee. MHISC supports the legislators who support the industry.

Rob Nunn put together the association’s first-ever Pickleball Tournament. It will be an annual event at the convention.

The association’s five key committees met: Membership, Dealer Roundtable, Community Managers, Modular Steering Committee and the Image & Professionalism Committee.
The committees mapped an ambitious legislative agenda and plans to enhance the association’s meeting, membership service and public relations efforts.
The next state meeting of the association is December 3 in Charleston.
