South Carolina will begin enforcing updated modular and site-built building codes on January 1, 2027, while a new state law will also remove qualifying eviction records from the public court index after seven years. Members involved in modular construction, manufactured-home communities, or rental properties should review these changes and consider how they may affect operations.
