MHISC Membership
MHISC is a member-run
association dedicated to
creating business
opportunities for the industry.
The membership includes
retailers, community owners,
manufacturers, service and supply
companies, insurance and
financial institutions,
developers and installers.
MHISC gives each member a
voice in creating new
programs and setting policies
for the manufactured and
modular home industries.
- MHISC is recognized by the
legislature and state agencies as the
voice of the industry in Columbia.
- MHISC also has a team of registered
lobbyists to influence the legislature
and state agencies.
- Every proposed bill and regulation is
reviewed by the association for its
impact on the industry. Members
get word about important proposals
which would affect them.
- MHISC maintains a full-time staff in
Columbia who are experts in zoning
and local government. The association has the
expertise to help members win favorable
zoning policies in their city or county.
- Statewide membership
meetings provide members with
an opportunity to meet and know
business people involved in every
aspect of the manufactured and
modular home industries.
- Local Chapters meet every other

laws and rules.
- MODern Times is the only magazine dedicated to the modular market in South Carolina. Retailers and Residential Builders across South Carolina rely on MODern Times to keep their finger on the pulse of the modular industry.
- The MHISC Membership Directory is the one source that brings together a valuable list of members and key government agencies serving the industry in the state. In addition to the Membership Directory, members receive the membership E-mail Directory which is updated multiple times a year.
