2010 MHISC Annual Convention
A crowd of three hundred convened in Hilton Head for the MHISC Annual Meeting and Convention July 22-25.
The industry honored Mr. Jeff Sanford Saturday night in recognition
of his induction into the SC Manufactured Housing Hall of Fame.
Clayton Homes of North Charleston was named Best Retail Center in Friday’s Best in the Business Awards. Birch Hollow was honored as Best Community and Shelby Smith was named Best Retail Salesperson. Dixie-George Jones Homes and Clayton Homes of Florence were recognized as Outstanding Retail Centers and David Weston was honored as Outstanding Salesperson. Palmetto Palms and Southern Palms were named Outstanding Communities for SC.
Members dressed in their coolest Margaritaville garb for Thursday night. They enjoyed a margarita fountain and a Cheeseburger in Paradise station. The event was a highlight of MHISC's convention on Hilton Head.
Ten members completed coursework qualifying them for licensing as mortgage brokers in SC. Other professional development presentations included the SAFE Act and the new Apprentice License. Thayer Long, President of MHI in Washington and Randy Altman, Chair of the
SC Manufactured Housing Board were among the speakers.
